Tracey McDermott, RDH
Tracey received her dental hygiene degree from Camden County College in 1990, where she was awarded for academic achievement by the South Jersey Dental Association. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York.
Tracey began work in an established multi specialty practice, she later worked at Hahnemann Hospital's in-house dental clinic, and then for Penn Dental at the University of Pennsylvania. She has served under the Dean of the dental school as a clinical research hygienist assessing and providing periodontal care to pregnant women. Tracey has served as a public health hygienist for St. Christopher's Hospital where she presented an oral health literacy program in local elementary schools as well as providing clinical care on a mobile dental unit to children who had no other access to care. Tracey has worked as an adjunct clinical instructor at the Community College of Philadelphia, and has served as the Trustee and Vice President for the Philadelphia component of the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienist's Association.
Tracey joins the deme team as a dental hygienist, using her extensive experience to create a personalized dental hygiene regimen for patients based on individual assessments and needs. She is also a certified holistic health counselor and provides nutritional counseling services upon request.
